The challenge this week is  Green Yellow and White with this sketch!  Sorry the sample is a little small.... I cannot seem to get it any larger atm!
I used Glimmermist and a fantastic mask that I borrowed from a lady at the retreat (she had HEAPS) made with her cricut! (I so want one)
This is Lachlan & Patrick, they are the best of friends and I have a zillion photos of them together like this.

What an awesome weekend!!!

Firstly, on Friday Aden competed in the School Cross country (the last one for him!) and he came away with the Boys Year 12 Champion! I didn't get to go and watch (sob) but at least I can scrap the medal! lol

On Saturday Danielle and I headed off for the day to Scrapper's Delite retreat in Lancefield.  We couldn't go for the whole retreat, so we only went for the day!  We had a great productive day and I finished 4 LO's and Danielle put a huge dent in her travel album! (won't be long now till its finished!!!!!) The food was yummy, the room was just right and the chairs were soooo comfy! The conversation was.....different LOL and I think  got an education with some topics......
I can only show a couple..

This was for the Wicked Princesses Blind Scrap.  I wrote down all the instructions before hand and it came together quickly! There will be another one in a few weeks Sept 10th I think, so join in if you want a quick LO or give the old mojo a nudge!

Color combos Galore asked to draw inspiration from the picture using the colours and I loved these photos of Lachlan when he first learnt to do a somersault on the trampoline! (I still have flashbacks of Patrick and the neckbrace!!)  Sorry for the dodgy photo but this isn't as wishy washy as it looks......
another of Aden...just because.  His last year of Primary school and he couldn't wait for it to be over and start high school.
I will show the others later this week. ( NONE of Christie!!!) can you believe that!

On Sunday, Lachlan's U16 football team played in their Grand Final against Melton.  After a fabulous start we were ahead at half time bu 15 points and feeling confident.  At three quarter time.....everything changed! nothing seemed to go our way and they let the opposition kicked 3 goals and they were in front at three quarter time!  In the fourth quarter, things didn't get any better until about 6 minutes to go and we kicked a quick goal, another to to get in front and the last one just before the siren to seal it! a very relieved and happy team were we!
After the game, the boys were presented with their medals and Lachlan was presented with his
RDFL League Best and Fairest trophy.
We are so very proud of him.

Pink Elephant Recipe Challenge!

Hello there! So much has been happening here..... and I  just have to keep writing notes so I don't forget to tell you! (later though) Firstly, at the Pink Elephant this week Ella has organized a recipe challenge of circles, chipboard and journaling. I couldn't resist this GORGEOUS paper from Pink Paislee and 7 Gypsies! This is my #1 son Aden (typical 2nd child) This child was OLD before he was born!  Aden has ruled our family from the moment he turned 14 months! He has that power!! He is very determined, headstrong, reliable, cool in a crisis and completely dependable.  He could, in fact, run a small country! When he is nice he is adorable and when he isn't............lol!

Friends having Fun...

August sketch challenge is gorgeous and I pretty much followed it to the letter! Not like me! lol I usually flip, rotate, tweak! Unfortunately, this is the last sketch for this challenge blog! :-( they have decided to finish up after this sketch challenge.

I noticed a daffodil popped up yesterday morning! and you know what that means.........SPRING is just around the corner!
I love spring.....it is not too cold and not too warm ! It is Just right! I sound like baby bear! I love that you still have time to get in shape for summer and in the mean time you can hide the flabby bits....
There has been so much rain here over the last week or so and everything is so lush, I have to get Mark out to attack the weeds, that have obviously enjoyed the rain too!

Christie had her fundraiser last night for the Womens Vic Uni Basketball team.  All the girls had to dress up as Super Heroes and Christie chose Sailor Moon.
She ordered it over the internet and when it arrived she freaked out as it was so short, it didnt even cover her bum!  A very handy sewing friend of mine took off the skirt and re sewed another skirt that was a little more decent! Well on looking at the above photo...that looks pretty short too!  We didn't have time to make a headband ( she didn't give me enough notice!)

WOW! WHAT A WEEKEND!

In capitals because I am shouting! with happiness! My boys both had football finals this weekend.  Patrick had his FIRST ever final and he was quite excited, but quite sure they were going in as the underdogs! (we have NEVER beaten this team!) they have come close, but just have never come away with the win!  This was a semi between 3rd and 4th and shock horror! we won by 9 points! Everyone was quite surprised but happy all the same, and hopefully we can win next week (highly unlikely but hey you have to be in it to win it!)

a happy and surprised team.

I love this last photo! most of the boys in these two teams are friends and actually play in Rep and domestic basketball together!  It is really nice that after the final siren, and even though we have put them out of the race, they can still all be friends. love it.

We raced over to Lachlan's final, which was played on another ground. And in the first quarter, the opposition just went bang bang bang and our boys were quite shell shocked! we only just got the ball in our forward line once!  I thought (being a little pessimistic!) we are gone! anyway to cut a long story short, after goal for goal we kicked a few last minute goals to win by.....I can't remember, I was so relieved! so Lachlan and his team are in the Grand Final in a fortnight!

sorry no scrapping this post! lol

Act # 42

WOW! my card this week for Stacey's Stampin Stage  came together quickly (don't you just love that) and I am usually critical of myself, but I actually really like it!

Stacey Schafer at Stacey's Stamping Stage has the most beautiful colours this week! gorgeous blues! I have a friend who has just bought a house and I have made this for her "congrats on your new home" card.  I love these Kaiser stamps! and especially the great little folders they come in too!

The pink elephant scrapbook #19 & TPE card #78

I am really enjoying making a card after I finish my LO and before I pack up!  I wish I was a cleaner scrapper! I just spread out and I am sooo messy!
This weeks challenge at the Pink Elephant is punched borders, 2 pattered papers and buttons! I fell in love with this Pink Paislee Pop Fashion Collection and Fancy Pants Wishful Thinking. How gorgeous are they!? I cut out the butterflys from some Prima PP.
This was such a special day for me (well and Christie too!)  This was her first day of Willy Wagtails.  A pre Kinder program that is only for 2 hours a once a week.  This was so exciting for both of us because I got to walk her in and drop her off and and I knew that this was the start of the next 15 years of her education! so exciting! and she thought she was such a big girl being left alone!  She absolutely loved it and thoroughly enjoyed being there.

The pink elephant also has a great card challenge each week and this week is "Something Yummy"
